So even though it’s best to stay clear from too much alcohol, it is the Festive Season after all and we do understand that does involve some drinking for some! It’s important to make your Herbalife lifestyle a balanced one so that you don’t feel like you are restricting yourself too much or on diet... so please have fun! .... *however* always be mindful of your health and your body during this time. Always stay hydrated with LOADS of water if you are drinking and make sure you know how many cals most drinks contain. Here is a guideline 😊
🍸  _Ingredients_

1 shot vodka
2 strawberries
1 can of tonic water
lime sugar

_Instructions_
Wash fruits
Slice 2 strawberries and half a lime. (wedges for squeezing lime juice and a slice for garnish)
Pour a small amount of sugar onto a plate.
Prep the bar glass by taking a lime slice and sliding along glass rim.
Immediately put the glass rim in the plate of sugar.
The sugar will stick nicely to the lime soaked glass rim. Add 1 sliced strawberries and squeeze 3 slices of lime into glass.
Muddle slightly to release the strawberry and lime juices. Add one shot of vodka
Fill glass with ice and the other slices of strawberry and top off with tonic water. Garnish with a lime slice.

Rosemary Grapefruit Mocktail* 

Ingredients

freshly squeezed grapefruit juice (about 1 grapefruit)
1/2 teaspoon - 1 teaspoon agave nectar or honey  sparkling water 
1 tiny pinch of cardamom
1 tiny pinch of sea salt
1 sprig of rosemary
ice cubes 

Instructions

Add ice cubes to a medium-sized glass.
Pour grapefruit juice, agave nectar, and sparkling water in over ice cubes.
Add cardamom and salt (just a tiny pinch) and stir to dissolve agave nectar and mix spices in.
Add rosemary sprig, garnish with a slice of grapefruit if desired, and serve right away. Recipe can easily be multiplied to make multiple drinks or even a pitcher full.
[12/4/2023 07:03] +27 83 324 1698: A nice way to make yummy & healthy beverage options is just to cut up loads of fruit and have some nice ways to decorate your glasses such as flowers (or can use fruit).
Combining sparkling water with a shot of freshly squeezed fruit juice and adding slices of fruit to your glass / jug makes beautiful and yummy drinks! AND you stay well hydrated ☺️ 

*Personally I love my Mango Aloe with Sparkling Water and mint leaves or slices of fruit. It is SO refreshing, it’s good for my gut health and it keeps me hydrated - a win win! 🌟*

Sometimes we can drink loads of water, but through perspiring and lots of water, we can actually "wash away" the electrolytes in our bodies which are essential for our bodies (kidney and brain and muscle functions, to name a few). Electrolytes are essential minerals like sodium, potassium, magnesium, chloride and calcium.

Try either our HYDRATE 24 or CR7 DRIVE to give you a delicious refreshing zingy rehydrate.

A few tips for you:
πŸ₯€Make sure that breakfast is always a shake and tea! Yes you can still go out for breakfast. That will then count as your mid morn snack πŸ’ƒπŸΎ but shake and tea is key for hydration, antioxidants, nutrients, protein and fibre and ENERGY for the day! You can also have fun with your shakes and make waffles πŸ§‡ or flapjacks πŸ₯ž

πŸ’ͺ🏻 Make sure you don’t stop snacking! Protien helps you feel satisfied and it also helps those energy levels. It will also mean you don’t overeat / binge.

πŸ’¦ Water water water! Hydration is key always ! But even more so if you are eating a little more than usual / different foods / drinking alcohol. Keep that water up πŸ‘πŸ»

1. Keep it simple_

Don't get caught up in the idea that you have to spend hours in the kitchen to serve up an amazing Christmas feast. A simple Greek Salad, with Roast Potatoes and Beef Mince Kebabs can be JUST as delicious and filling, as an 8 hour slow cooked ham and 20 ingredient salad.

Choose recipes that are easy to follow, require minimal ingredients and don't require you to spend hours in the kitchen.

_2. It's all about the sides_

Never underestimate the power of sides. Yes, your choice of mains (e.g. meats, turkey, baked tofu) is important but the SIDES are what make an amazing feast. Instead of focusing on having a loads of different mains, choose your top 2 and then steer your attention to your sides. Load up your plate with a variety of different salads and roasted and grilled veggies!

_3. Healthy eating is possible_

It's easy to associate Christmas with loads of decadent food but in my experience healthy eating is very possible. Loading your plate up with good proteins and a variety of salads and veggies is a delicious, satisfying and yet nourishing way to enjoy Christmas!

_4. Get prepared early_

A bit of preparation and organisation goes a long way when it comes to Christmas! Sit down, plan your menu and then get the food shopping done.

_5. Make the day before_

The best thing you can do is utilise Christmas Eve day to cook and get everything ready for the next day. Make sure your all the meats and/or tofu are chopped and marinated, and ready to go straight in the oven or on the braai on Christmas Day. Pre-chop all your veggies to roast. A tip is to go through your recipes and highlight anything that can be done the day before, even if it's just part of a recipe - like chopping up the veg!

I’m on holiday and I always pack my nutrition to come with me because our bodies still need all the vitamins and minerals we get from the shake & protein drink mix! It’s a complete multivitamin! On 4 Jan it’s my 12 year anni! Can you believe! 😍 consistency is the key πŸ₯³ make it part of your lifestyle and it gets easier and easier and easier πŸ‘ŒπŸ½
2-INGREDIENT CHOCOLATE QUINOA CRUNCH BITES*

Ingredients:
200g (7oz) dark chocolate, melted – I used 70% dark chocolate
35g (1 1/2 cups) quinoa pops

(Quinoa pops - put pan on the stove at a high temp. Poor desired amount of uncooked quinoa into pan. A thin layer so the quinoa isn’t overlapping. Wait for a popping sound and allow quinoa to “pop” for a few mins. Don’t over do as they will burn.)

Method:
Melt the chocolate and leave to cool for a couple of minutes, then fold in the quinoa pops.
Use a small ice cream scoop to shape into small bite, and arrange onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Move to the fridge and allow to set for 15-30 minutes.
Enjoy!
Honey and Cinnamon Grilled Peaches*

πŸ‘Wash and slice peaches in half.

πŸ‘Remove pits, and brush both sides of the peach with olive oil.

πŸ‘Grill over indirect heat for 3 to 5 minutes, or until both sides are caramelized from the grill grates.

πŸ‘Heat half a cup of honey in a small microwave safe bowl for 30 to 45 seconds.
